Indian Institute of Psychology and Research (IIPR), Bangalore has invited online applications for admission to MSc Psychology and MSc Counselling Psychology for the sessions 2025-26. Students can apply online with the given application process section below.

About IIPR

The Indian Institute of Psychology & Research (IIPR) in Bangalore is a well-known institution that offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in psychology. It was established in 2003 to provide quality education, conduct research, and offer training in psychology and related fields.

Eligibility Criteria

For MSc Psychology

The candidates should have their graduation of 3 years with at least 40% marks in aggregate, with Psychology as one of the subjects and having scored an aggregate of 50% marks in Psychology.

Number of Seats for MSc Psychology: 60

For MSc Counselling Psychology

B.A./B.Sc./B.Ed./PG Diploma in Counselling with at least one subject in Psychology or any paper/course related to Psychology.

Number of Seats for MSc Counselling Psychology: 60

Note: Students from Non-Psychology Background /Distance Education /Open University/ Online Graduate Courses are NOT eligible.

Entrance Examination

The entrance test will consist of multiple-choice questions. It will cover General Awareness and subjects commonly studied in college, such as general psychology, development psychology, abnormal psychology, industrial psychology, counselling psychology, health psychology, and research methods and statistics in psychology.

The entrance exam will be Offline.

Application Fee

Candidates need to make a payment of ₹1500/- as the application fee for MSc Psychology and MSc Counselling Psychology programs.

Application Process

You need to visit the official website to fill out the application (Click here!). Register as a new candidate there. After getting the login credentials, you need to log in to the portal.

  1. Once you log in, the application window will open. There you need to click on New Application and select the program you are applying for (i.e. MSc Psychology or MSc Counselling Psychology).
  2. After this, you need to fill in the application details by providing your personal information.
  3. In 3rd step, you need to provide academic details by uploading the necessary documents as shown on the portal.
  4. And at the last, you need to give a reference /declaration of the faculties for furtherance.

Documents Need to Attach with Applications

Candidates need to upload the following documents while filling out the applications for MSc Psychology or MSc Counselling Psychology.

  1. 10th Mark Sheet
  2. 12th Mark Sheet
  3. Degree Mark Sheets (Semester Available as on Date)
  4. Degree Certificate /Provisional Degree Certificate (If available)
  5. Conduct Certificate
  6. Govt. Photo ID

Admission Process

After the examination, there will be a Personal /Online interview. On the basis of merit in entrance and interview, the selected candidates for admission will be intimated within 3-4 working days for further guidelines to accomplish the admission process with the course fee. The candidates need to make the payment of the course fee within 4-5 working days and submit all their essential documents to confirm the admission.

The payment of the course fee can be made through Cash /DD (Demand Draft) /Online Transfer.

Original Documents Required to Complete the Admission Process

Here are the necessary documents that you need to provide at the time of the interview to confirm your admission.

  1. Original Marks Sheet of all qualifying exams to be submitted
  2. Degree Certificate /Provisional Degree Certificate from the university Conferring the degree (For PG candidates)
  3. Conduct Certificate from the institute last attended
  4. Transfer Certificate
  5. Migration Certificate
  6. Caste /Category Certificate (If applicable)
  7. Income Certificate (If applicable)
  8. Copy of Passport and Visa (For Foreign Candidates)
  9. Letter from the concerned embassy office (Foreign National)
  10. Indian Passport Size Photograph

Note: Candidates don’t have to send their documents along with the application. The documents are required at the time of the admission process.
