The MPhil in Clinical Psychology is widely regarded as a prestigious and essential qualification, as it represents the primary route toward obtaining a license as a Clinical Psychologist accredited by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Graduates of the M.Phil program in Clinical Psychology are prepared to excel in various clinical settings, such as hospitals, mental health clinics, rehabilitation centers, schools, NGOs, and private practice. The demand for qualified Clinical Psychologists in India is increasing due to greater awareness of mental health issues and the critical role of professional psychological services.
Admissions to the M.Phil Clinical Psychology course are based on entrance and interview, which are conducted by RCI-recognized Institutions/Universities. Generally, the entrance begins in Feb and it last till Oct-Nov at various institutions. (there is no common entrance for M.Phil, and all the institutes have their separate entrances on different months and days yearly).
