The Institute of Psychiatry(IOP), Kolkata is conducting Online interview of the candidates for admission to M.Phil Clinical Psychology, for the academic session 2023-24. The interview will be conducted on the 24th and 25th of August.
The candidates should be ready with their Admit Cards of JEMAS PG 2023 and a Photo ID for the Interview which will be required to enter the Virtual Interview Room according to the date and time slot provided to them.
IOP JEMAS-PG M.Phil Clinical Psychology Entrance
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board introduced the online applications of JEMAS (PG) earlier in January for session 2023-24. The JEMAS (PG) includes 26 Postgraduation programs. It also includes the Entrance Examination for M.Phil Clinical Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry (IOP), Kolkata. M.Phil Clinical Psychology is present in Group 1 of JEMAS (PG).

Institute of Psychiatry, Kolkata, is a government-run mental health Institution in Kolkata, West Bengal. It is the third oldest surviving mental hospital in the country, which commenced 200 years ago. The institute pertains a wonderful history.
In 1817, a British army officer named Mr. I. Beardsmore founded a mental asylum in Bhowanipore for European patients. The asylum could accommodate up to 50-60 patients. In 1856, the British East India Company took over the asylum. Later, the British Bengal government renamed it the Mental Observation Ward, Bhowanipore in 1924.
The Department of Clinical Psychology of the Institute of Psychiatry (IOP) consists of well-experienced and qualified faculties formed under the project under National Mental Health Programme (NMHP).
