Jamia Millia Islamia is a Central University which was originally established in the year 1920 in Aligarh (UP), it became a Cental University in the year 1988. It was then relocated in Delhi in march 1935 in Okhla area then after an year jamia’s Library were shifted to its new campus.
Prof. Najma Akhtar, currently serves as a Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia. Jamia Millia Islamia is considered a highly reputed university which offers various courses ranging from arts, engineering, commerce etc.
Department of Psychology at JMI offers various Courses in the field of Psychology. The first course of Psychology was BA in 1981, then MA in Applied Psychology was started in the year 1989, then PhD in Psychology in 1984, and Advanced Diploma in Counselling Psychology initiated in 2001.

Minimum Qualifications: B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology with not less than 50% marks. B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. OR
B.A. /B.Sc. /B.Com. (Hons.) Or B.Sc. (Home Sc.) with not less than 55% marks in aggregate.
Forms would be tentatively available in month of February/march.
Entrance Exam would be conducted in the month of June.
