GATE 2022, Admit Cards Released—UPS Education

The Admit Cards of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for session 2022 is available Now, the interested candidates may apply through the link below.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that tests the candidate of various undergraduate subjects in the field of engineering and science. The exam is conducted to give admission into the Master’s Program at various IITs. GATE is being conducted in India every year since 1983. The Examination includes 27 individual Subjects including Psychology. It is conducted in many cities of India via CBT (Computer-based Test) mode.

GATE 2022 is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and six other Indian Institutes of Technology. These Institutions are IIT Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai, Roorkee, and Bengaluru. The Examination is being conducted on behalf of the National Coordination Board—GATE, The Department of Higher Education, MoE (Ministry of Education), Govt. of India.

Eligibility criteria of the Exam:

  • Candidates who possess Graduation degree in the field of Engineering, science, arts, Commerce, technology etc.
  • Candidates who are currently in the third year of graduation or 4th year of graduation.
  • Master’s degree in Psychology Currently in the 1st /2nd/3rd/4thyear or already completed.

GATE Psychology paper pattern

  • General Aptitude: 15 marks
  • Section B1 Reasoning and Comprehension: 25 marks
  • In Section B1 there would a total of 15 Question where 5 questions will carry 1 mark and 10 Question will be of 2 marks.
  • Psychology Paper will carry a total of 60 marks and there would be 40 questions for psychology
  • 20 Questions with 1 mark each
  • 20 Questions with 2 marks each

Total: 100 Marks

Types of Questions

MCQ – Multiple Choice Question, there would be a question will four alternates, candidates have to choose one correct option.

Penalty; There would be a penalty of 1/3 marks for every wrong answer for 1 mark question and a penalty of 2/3 marks for every incorrect question of 2 marks.

MSQ- Carrying 1 to 2 marks in the paper, there would be no negative marking.

NAT- Candidates have to type the answer in an integer type, there would be no negative marking.
