SRIHER or Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to MSc Clinical Psychology /Counselling Psychology. SRIHER is situated in Chennai, India. It is a deemed university offering a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs across various disciplines. It is closely affiliated with the Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, which boasts a meticulously designed teaching hospital situated on the campus premises.

Eligibility Criteria

For MSc Clinical Psychology

To be eligible for MSc Clinical Psychology at SRIHER, candidates need to complete their BA /BSc in Psychology from a university recognized by UGC in Regular Mode with not less than 55% marks or B+ Grade. Candidates belonging to the category of SC /ST /OBC need to gain 50% marks in aggregate.

For MSc Counselling Psychology

Candidates who have passed a degree in Psychology OR have studied Psychology as a core course/paper in the examination at SRIHER or other equivalent universities will be eligible for MSc Counselling Psychology.

Mode of Selection

1. The selection of the candidates will be on the basis of marks in the Interview. The selected candidates will be intimated through email for provisional selection.
2. In case, if students get equal marks, the decision to select candidates will be on the basis of academic performance from first year to last year in the qualifying examination.
3. If institute selects the students provisionally for admission, they need to bring their Provisional Pass Certificate or Degree Certificate, along with other necessary documents, during the counseling session. If they don’t bring these documents, they won’t be considerable for selection.
4. Students should make sure that they are providing their correct email as the communication with candidates will be through email.

Intakes and Program Fee

There are 25 seats for MSc Clinical Psychology and 10 seats for MSc Counselling Psychology at SRIHER.

Annual Fee for Both Programs (MSc Clinical /Counselling Psychology) is ₹1,50,000/-.

1. At first, you are to provide your basic information like your name, parents’ details, address, etc.
2. After this, you have to provide educational qualifications like your undergraduate and postgraduate details.
3. Once you are done with this, you have to upload the documents as shown on the website.
4. After this, you can make the payment of application fee.

Important Instructions

1. Candidates, appearing for the final semester /year in June 2024 can also apply.
2. All communication related to entrance /interview will be through the application portal only. Therefore, students should to keep their User ID and Password for further reference as no communication will be available separately for candidate through SMS or mail individually.
3. If it is found that information provided by the candidates is false or incorrect, the admission of such candidates can be canceled.
4. The university has the right to alter the course structure, admission rules, examination, etc.
