Online applications are invited by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) for direct recruitment of ‘Psychology Assistant Professor’ in Government degree Colleges of UP, under the Department of Higher Education, U.P.
Nature of the post: Gazetted/ Temporary but likely to be permanent
Pay Band: ₹15600-39100/- with Grade pay ₹6000/- (level-10)
Age: 21-40 years
Number of post: 05 (UR-02, EWS of UP-01, SC of UP-01, ST of UP-01)
Essential Qualifications:
1– Good academic record (a minimum second division marks in relevant Bachelor’s Degree) with a Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied Psychology from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.
But a relaxation of 5% shall be allowed at Master’s level for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and person with disabilities.
A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19 September, 1991.
2– Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared National Eligibility Test (NET) by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/ SET.
** selection through direct recruitment shall be made by the Commission on the basis of Interview, However the Commission will hold a Screening Test to shortlist the candidates for Interview. A separate press communiqué will be issued for Screening Test regarding programme and syllabus etc.
